I am a Fort-Worth and Austin based front-end web developer, specializing in web design for non-profit organizations. I love all things art like dance and painting.
I transfered to Texas State University from Tarrant County Community College the spring semester of 2021. My goals were, and still are, to make a difference in tech as a First-Gen Asian American through my outreach initiatives and efforts. I joined the Society of Women Engineers around the end of the spring semester I had transfered and found a community I never thought I would find. At the time I was an Electrical Engineering major, still exploring the world of technology and then came across DMI in SJMC. My second year studying DMI, I was reccomonded as a panelist for the 2022 Mass Communication Week for First-Gen students. I was able to share my expereinces coming from a refugee family, moving away and startng a career for myself.
Now a DMI major, I became a officer for SWE as the Outreach Coordinator putting my communications skills to use when connecting to companies like DELL Technologies and Google. Within my position includes recruitment initiatives, where the president and I make efforts to create an inclusive space for all female identifying STEM majors.
